Job Description: Internal university title: Instructional Designer.
The instructional designer’s major responsibility is developing and maintaining relationships with online faculty and facilitating the development of their online courses. In addition, an instructional designer is responsible for all aspects of instructional and curriculum design (e.g., analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation) relative to delivery of effective and efficient professional development courses to help faculty convert to the online environment and to promote the quality of online instruction at the University of Central Florida. An instructional designer may participate in research-based professional development opportunities.

Position Minimum Qualifications: Master’s degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization; or a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization with at least two years’ experience.
Preferences: Instructional design degree from an accredited institution; demonstrated ability to work in teams; demonstrated ability in curriculum development; and previous instructional experience including classroom and online instruction.
