Nike is seeking 1-2 contract Instructional Designers to work through 12/4 with possible contract extension after that time. The description is below. Instructional Designer Profile

The Instructional Designer is responsible for working closely with clients to conceptualize, design, and write highly interactive learning solutions (primarily instructor-led training and blended solutions) that target learning objectives and improve performance.

Key Accountabilities

· Collaborate with other Instructional Designers, subject matter experts and/or consultants in the creation of learning deliverables

· Conduct task analysis to determine learning objectives and instructional strategies

· Design and develop learning courses, job aids, assessment tools that incorporate adult learning principles and standard instructional design processes

· Conduct pilots (as time permits) to assess effectiveness of training solution

· Design and develop instructional material for training courses that support the DC and ongoing training materials for the all North America Distribution Centers

· Demonstrate and utilize effective needs analysis, project management, course development, and evaluation skills

· Independently and collectively develop entry and advanced level courses for a variety of audiences

· Utilize multimedia technology and authoring tools (MS Word, PPT, FastTrack)

· Act as liaison between SME’s/Learning and Delivery leads and other ETW Instructional Designers in determining needs of the courses and appropriate method of delivery

· Develop course materials, instructor guides, participant guides, course assessments, job aids, etc

· Ensure data included in the training materials matches that of training environment

· Ensure that all information is consistent, easy to understand, and well organized

· Proofread and edit individual work and work of others to improve quality, readability, consistency, and effectiveness of documentation

· Partner with other Instructional Designers to publish the final training materials

  • Meet the design and development process including timelines, deliverables and target dates
  • Provide guidance and specialized knowledge to other members of the team
  • Develop working relationships with subject matter experts (SMEs)
  • Communicate frequently and effectively with SMEs and other course stakeholders

Qualifications

2-5 years hands-on content and course curriculum development

Bachelor’s degree required or degree in progress

· Expert level command of common authoring tools and course development methodologies. (Microsoft PowerPoint, Word experience preferred)

· Deep working knowledge and application of adult learning theory and teaching techniques.

· Familiarity with a wide array of training concepts, practices and procedures.

· Ability to communicate and execute clear, consistent and applicable learning experiences aligned to organizational goals. – Excellent project management skills – a must.

· Attention to detail and follow-through critical.

· Excellent oral communication, presentation, writing and editing skills.

· Strong interpersonal skills; ability to influence laterally and vertically.

· Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and peers to deliver business results.

· Solid problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

· Ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously and juggle multiple (and potentially conflicting) priorities.
